We strive to see all children have hope and reach their highest potential!
We saw a need in Kansas City metropolitan public schools to have an integrated system of support to strategically engage and mobilize the community. Increasing challenges and needs of students face our public schools. The community surrounding the schools has the resources and volunteers to help but principals do not have time to find, engage and mobilize the community into their schools. We wanted to bridge this gap between schools and caring community support that surrounds them.
Caring for Kids Network launched as a 501c3 in 2013 to help. We are a self-funded organization that desires to see all children have hope and reach their highest potential. Our mission is accomplished through a proven four-step process to engage the community – churches, businesses, and civic groups/nonprofits – to serve collaboratively around neighborhood schools. We work with the superintendents, district leadership, and the individual school principals to identify potential school partnership projects that best support the goals of an individual school.
Your support helps us to create these pathways in more schools each year. We desire to see all schools have the opportunity to utilize our process to reach their goals, making an impact in the lives of students, families, schools and communities at large.
